The Mental Health Technician is responsible for direct patient care, provides for psychosocial needs of patients and performs various none nursing functions.
|State approved nursing assistant program or equivalent, or successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing Course from an approved RN or LPN program or Baccaulaureate degree in Psychology or related field required. Previous experience in healthcare setting preferred. South Carolina CNA certificate or successful completion of Medical-Surgical Nursing course in an approved RN/LPN program required. Experience in dealing with acute psychiatric patients preferred. Ability to assist with physical demanding patients. Crisis-Interviention training.|
