|Maintains and oversees all hospital equipment and inventory purchases, while seeking to identify vendors with the highest quality merchandize for the best price. Manages central supply department from both a staff and operational stand point as well as keeping the department supplied.|
A. Work Experience: Must have demonstrated knowledge of acute care
purchasing concepts and supplies. On the job acute care
purchasing/materials management.experience of at least five years.
Formal management/leadership experience of, at least, supervisor or
B. Education: High school or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with courses in purchasing, business and personnel administration preferred.

D. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and the general public.
E. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
F. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
