The Pride Institute is the nation’s first and leading provider of residential and outpatient treatment programs exclusively treating substance abuse and mental health needs of the LGBTQ+ community. We have been providing our clients a comfortable, safe alternative to traditional treatment programs for over 30 years.

If so, we welcome you to apply for our full-time Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) position. This salaried position is for a Primary Counselor who has at least 2 years’ experience and is an addition to our counseling team.  The work schedule consists of daytime hours Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend hours (every fifth or sixth weekend) at our Eden Prairie, MN Residential Treatment Center.   
 
Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services, our LADCs provide on-going assessments, treatment planning, progress reviews, continuing care planning, and individual/group counseling sessions involving recovery education. They are an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team focusing on client-centered care within MN DHS Rule 31 and CARF standards.
 
Requirements
Qualified candidates will be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as Alcohol and Drug Counselors; have at least two (2) years’ experience, knowledge, and/or expertise with co-occurring disorders and/or cognitive-behavioral counseling approaches; and have an understanding of the unique challenges faced by our clients.
