The Pride Institute has been providing the LGBTQ+ community a comfortable, safe alternative to traditional treatment programs for over 30 years. Our staff provide integrated treatment services for adults with chemical dependency, sexual compulsivity, and co-occurring disorders at our Residential Treatment Center (RTC) in Eden Prairie, MN and outpatient services at our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) located in Uptown Minneapolis.
We are looking for an experienced part-time, on-call Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a very flexible schedule to become part of our RTC and IOP teams. We anticipate that the person in this position would be working 16-20 hours per week, including weekends as needed and occasional 3:00 - 8:00 PM shifts at our IOP.
Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services, our LADCs provide on-going assessments, treatment planning, progress reviews, continuing care planning, and individual/group counseling sessions involving recovery education. They are an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team focusing on client-centered care within MN DHS Rule 31 and CARF standards.
Qualified candidates will be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC); have at least two (2) years’ experience, knowledge, and/or expertise with co-occurring disorders and/or cognitive-behavioral counseling approaches; and have an understanding of the unique challenges faced by our clients. Knowledge of or experience with 12-Step (or similar) Programs would be helpful. The ability to "hit the ground running" is required.
