Position Summary:

Under indirect supervision performs diagnostic psychiatric assessments, consultations and evaluation. The Mental Health assessment counselor may also do physical and mental evaluations on persons being assessed for possible admission. Responsibilities include appropriate identification of service need and referral for patients seeking mental health services.

Requirements

Master’s degree and licensing (includes LPC, LPC-I, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, PA, Clinical Psychologist) in the State of Texas.

 Reviews PAB or similar training at least annually.

Maintains current CPR card.

At least 5 years experience working in the Behavioral health field.

8 additional hours training per year in regard to various aspects of assessment.
