Per Diem positions are now available in the Intake Department for Intake Coordinator; weekend availability is a plus!
Del Amo Hospital, a 166-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles in beautiful Southern California, provides a full spectrum of quality mental health care that includes: assessments and referrals, crisis intervention, adolescent and adult services, as well as specialty programs. The Intake Coordinator responds to all persons requesting assistance either by telephone or in person, and provides psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention and referrals to Hospital staff and services to outside sources, based on the nature of the problem(s) and financial resources. Admissions to the Hospital are facilitated through coordinated efforts with the Business Office, Utilization Review and the Department of Nursing Services.

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required; Bachelor Degree in psychology, social work, education, Human services or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of education
focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field preferred.
Credentials: Completion of program or minimum of two (2) years experience as/or EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, or related preferred
psychiatric patients of all ages is required
