Position Summary:

Our team of professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, master’s-level clinical therapists, nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends and employers so that they may lead productive lives. Tucked within the wooded hills of Central Arkansas, The BridgeWay is just moments away from the major highways that unite Arkansans throughout the state. Founded in 1983 and accredited by The Joint Commission, our quiet campus has retained much of the cozy charm and character that existed then. The BridgeWay currently has a Registered Nurse position available.

The Charge Nurse is a proficient nursing leader and integral member of the multidisciplinary team who has developed expertise in an expanded RN role within a specific unit/shift setting. The Charge Nurse is responsible for the routine functioning of the unit on his/her assigned shift. As a Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the missions of the hospital.

1. Effective oral and written communication skills.


2. Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees.

3. Ability to provide direction, support, and supervision.


4. Good organization and time management skills.


5. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

 
Requirements

Licenses or Certifications:

Current nursing licensure in the state of Arkansas. Current CPR and CPI certifications, or must obtain within 2-weeks of hire (offered on-site).

Total education, vocational training and experience:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum two (2) years psychiatric experience. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus), specific to Unit where will be Charge Nurse.
