Weekends Nursing Supervisor - PRN
Position Purpose: This position functions as a clinical and
administrative resource for the Nursing Department. The Nursing
Supervisor is an accomplished nursing leader who is responsible for
managing and coordinating the daily needs of the Nursing Department.
The Nursing Supervisor receives reports from previous Supervisory
staff regarding census, staffing, critical incidents such as falls,
restraint and/or seclusion, admissions and discharges, etc.
The position provides an administrative role in the absence of the
Director of Nursing.
Position Reports To: Director of Nursing
Supervises: Staff: Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN), Mental Health Technicians (MHT) and other staff as assigned.
Interpersonal Relationships: As a representative of
Springwoods Behavioral Health all comments, attitudes, actions, and
behaviors have a direct affect on the Facility’s image and
perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family
members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors,
etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous,
respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should
promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with facility
standards and guidelines to promote positive relations.

Licenses or Certifications:
Current licensure and registration by the Arkansas Board of Nurse
Examiners as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR and AED certification,
or must obtain within 14-days of hire. Successful completion of the
American Nursing Association Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse
program with credentialing is preferred.
vocational training and experience: Graduate of an accredited school
of nursing. Minimum five (5) years within the behavioral health
field, including two years in a supervisory role. Experience working
with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults
(ages 18 plus) preferred.
