We are currently seeking a per diem Recreation Therapist to join our talented and caring staff. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for
Position is per diem (as needed) with the need for
both weekday and weekend coverage.
Education: Bachelor's degree with completion of 480-hr. internship in Rec Therapy.
License: Must be CTRS certified as well as licensed (or elligible for license) by NCBRTL.
Knowledge Required: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and policy/procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and document client behavior. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements: Position is physically and mentally
demanding. Extensive walking, standing, sitting. Must be
able to lift, push and pull over 50 lbs. Must be
physically able to utilize nonviolent physical restraint
techniques. Must be able to maintain professionalism and
respond appropriately in a crisis situations.
