Essential Job Functions: 

  • Responsible for intake process of patients to hospital. 
  • Initiate and complete admissions process and packets. Input data. 
  • Communicate admission criteria to health care providers and referring agencies. 
  • Verify insurance benefits. 
  • Pre-certify initial intake information if necessary. 
  • Communicate with family members about admission process, visitation, inventory, and paperwork requirements.

Please note that this is a part-time position that is scheduled from 7pm to 7am every Saturday and Sunday night only.


High School graduate (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Basic psychiatric and medical terminology knowledge, understanding of HIPAA/confidentiality of information. Exceptional clerical, communications, organizational, computer software and customer service skills. Must be able to multi-task, work with limited supervision, and work well under pressure handling complex tasks in difficult situations with tact, utilizing critical thinking skills.
