Since 1976 Lakeside Behavioral Health System has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and mid-south region. The 295 bed facility is located on a safe and private 37 acre campus in northeast Shelby County and provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment for adults, seniors, adolescents and children. Lakeside's specialized programs treat disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism and drug addiction. The Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology required. Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. TN Social Work or Professional Counselor License preferred. Addictions experience required. Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
