Position Summary:

Turning Point Care Center, a 200+ bed facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in Moultrie, GA. We provide both inpatient and outpatient care. For the past 27 years the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals in need. We currently have a position available for a full-time, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Nurse Practitioner selected for this position will work autonomously but in collaboration with physicians to deliver psychiatric care. He/She will provide services by developing treatment plans for patients on inpatient units and partial hospitalization programs. The Nurse Practitioner works closely with the behavioral treatment teams to coordinate medical and psychiatric treatment. He/She will approach all patients and referral sources with a customer service attitude.

 
Requirements
  • Master’s degree required.
  • Current and unencumbered license as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist in the State of Georgia. Must have the authority to practice and prescribe as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia.
  • Previous experience in psychiatric care preferred.
  • Must meet Physician-Nurse Practitioner restrictive collaborative requirements specific to Georgia and supply a copy of all active collaborating physician agreements.
  • Must have insurance required by state law for Nurse Practitioners to practice and prescribe in the State of Georgia, or be eligible for such insurance requirements to be satisfied by group coverage with an employer.
  • Must have knowledge of Medicare reimbursement and coding for all levels of service. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, experienced working in a collaborative care team environment and functioning autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Certified by a recognized national certifying body preferred.
  • On-Call Rotation will be required.
