Prairie St. John's, a 91-bed psychiatric care facility located in Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children, adolescents and adults to address mental health issues, chemical dependency or addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1997. Prairie offers a full-service psychiatric and addiction Continuum of Care. This Continuum of Care includes inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, intensive outpatient services and clinic services. Prairie St. John's currently has a full time opening for a Patient Account Representative.
The Admitting Receptionist is a customer’s first contact with Prairie St. John's. As such, it is vital that the person in the position is positive, welcoming and display a Service Excellence Spirit. The Admitting Receptionist welcomes patients and visitors in person, as well as answers all incoming phone calls. The incumbent is also responsible for completing admission registration for all patients; preparing and assigning medical record charts; entering admission information into software systems; communicating with all applicable departments and employees regarding patient admissions, transfers and discharges; ensuring accurate patient census status by updating systems with admissions, transfers and discharges.
This position will be scheduled to work 8 - 16 hours per week.
The Admitting Receptionist must have at least two years of related experience. Incumbents should be highly organized, capable of multitasking and possess skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
