The Vines Hospital is a 98-bed comprehensive behavioral health facility located in beautiful Ocala. We provide 24-hour, 7-day a week services for those dealing with psychiatric and/or substance abuse issues. The Vines provides detox, acute, residential, outpatient and partial hospitalization services for adolescents, adults and seniors. The hospital provides individual, group, and family therapy, as well as community-based services to assist with ongoing recovery.

We currently have an opening for a Director of Risk Management. The Director of Risk Management/Performance Improvement is responsible for directing and monitoring the facility-wide risk management and PI program/activities while ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies, and other agencies. Coordinates and guides all employees in interpretation of State, Federal and Managed Care regulatory guidelines and gives assistance on how to attain compliance of regulation. Serves as the facility’s primary resource regarding regulatory compliance. Oversees effective implementation of quality risk management and performance improvement processes. Privacy & Security: Develops and oversees workforce education on privacy policies, procedures, and expectations of behaviors. Ensures information confidentiality, integrity, and availability to meet regulatory requirements and accepted business practices.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work or related behavioral health field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s level is preferred. Licensed as a Health Care Risk Manager through the State of Florida required. Five years experience in risk management with hands on working knowledge of quality improvement activities within an acute psychiatric treatment setting or hospital and with knowledge of regulatory compliance. A strong knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, AHCA , state and Federal standards and regulations including Patient Rights standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities and hospitals. Requires knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Payor requirements pertinent to certification and de-certifications, appeals process, billing, and reimbursement.

Excellent clerical and interpersonal skills required. Organizational skills and ability to interact with and coordinate with all levels of staff. Must have computer skills including operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
