Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital (BGBH), a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is located on an 11-acre campus in picturesque Fort Washington, Pa., a small suburban town of Philadelphia. Our 146-bed facility provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients suffering from mental illness and behavioral disorders.
The Mental Health Technician functions as an active
part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care,
supervision, interactions, and role modeling to patients ranging in
age from preschool through geriatrics depending on which unit worked.
Mental Health Technicians work under the direction of a Registered
Education/Experience: High School Diploma plus 12 college credits from an accredited university. Two years of related experience, one if have Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Requirements: Undergraduate Degree from
an accredited college or university in social work, psychology,
counseling, recreation therapy, or appropriate therapeutic
discipline. Also, BGBH would prefer inpatient hospital experience.
