We offer a $2500 SIGN ON BONUS for talented, dedicated, and compassionate independently licensed therapists.

Situated on 14 rolling, wooded acres in Mansfield, Ohio, Foundations For Living is a secure residential treatment center for youth 11 to 17 years of age. Our 84-bed facility (14 males, 70 females) is accredited by CARF and licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (ODMHAS).  We offer proven, pro-social programs that capitalize on the strengths of youth with emotional or behavioral problems.  

We are currently recruiting independently licensed therapists.  The Therapist is an essential professional member of the treatment team and is supported by onsite nursing staff, psychiatric services, an onsite school, neuro/biofeedback, and a pro-social model of behavior management.  This position actively supports our mission to provide an environment of safety where youth feel empowered to heal the wounds of the past and build a foundation of hope for the future.

 Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Providing professional therapeutic counseling by facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions for a caseload of approximately seven youth.
• Initiating the development, management, and implementation of discharge planning for each resident.
• Scheduling, facilitating, and participating in individual treatment planning meetings with residential staff and appropriate community agency providers.
• Responsible for providing treatment updates to referring agencies.
• Maintaining the residential philosophy of care and assuring compliance with policies and procedures established to support the philosophy of care.
• Maintaining effective intra and interdepartmental communications.
• Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely documentation on all contacts, sessions, or meetings that are conducted on the resident’s behalf.


• Must be independently licensed in the state of Ohio as a LISW or LPCC
• Must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited university in one of the behavioral sciences
• Must have experience and/or education in the following fields:

  • Dual Diagnosis
  • AOD/Chemical Dependency
  • Child/Adolescent & Family Counseling
