Cypress Creek Hospital, located in north Houston, has been faithfully serving the Houston and surrounding communities for over 18 years. Cypress Creek is a fully accredited 96-bed hospital dedicated to the provision of quality care and assistance for individuals and families in need of psychiatric care and treatment for substance abuse. Cypress Creek Hospital offers the community a broad range of inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adolescents and adults. The hospital offers 24-hour behavioral health emergency services. Our physician-directed staff of registered nurses, social workers, therapists, mental health technicians and drug abuse counselors brings both skill and compassion to the individualized treatment program for both patient and family.

Cypress Creek Hospital is seeking a Director of Business Development to be a part of our Management Team. This exciting position is responsible for growing the hospital’s business by managing all hospital marketing efforts including advertising, public relations, research and referral development. The Director of Business Development is also responsible for utilizing and managing the marketing department budget and coordinating/developing hospital based workshops/other events. Additional responsibilities encompass the gathering, analyzing and reporting of data related to marketing efforts and the management of the hospital marketing team.

Marketing – Development, implementation, and monitoring of systems that ensure access to facility and network services. Ensure customer communication occurs with a primary focus on external needs. Develops and monitors relationship management plans and strategies. Ensures facility has adequate marketing tools and develops appropriate collaterals. Monitors daily Intake/Referral calls, assessments, and admissions. Develops systems to notify referral source of assessment dispositions. Identifies daily customer service needs and develops/ensures immediate response. 

Supervision – Supervises and directs the marketing team and assures contacts are completed as assigned. Monitors activities of the marketing team to assure successful strategies are implemented. Assists or directs marketing team efforts in seasonal strategies to assure facility is meeting optimum potential. Evaluates each team member’s effectiveness and develops action plans for success.

Business Development – develops short and long-range management and organization plans to define responsibilities and business activities consistent with hospital goals and objectives. Assists in developing annual budget and management plan for the hospital. Assists in developing and maintaining psychiatrist, psychologist and other allied mental healthcare professional relations, both inside and outside the hospital.

Financial – prepares and presents operational and financial reports as required. Prepares and updates annually contracts with third-party payors to include cost negotiations.

 
Requirements
Five years of experience in business development and/or marketing, three in a health care setting preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills

Must be able to deal effectively with patients and families in crisis (psychiatric) and work in fast-paced environment

Must be able to new hire requirements to include nation-wide background check and pre-employment drug testing
