|POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, direction and administration of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. He/she administers treatments as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. He/she assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Provides supervision for licensure for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Performs all work in accord with the mission, vision, and values of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.|
Licensure/certification/education: Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. Eligible for or holds current Occupational Therapist License to practice in the State of Oklahoma required. BLS certification required. First Aid Certification Required. Successful completion of National Registry Examination by the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Proof of valid certification from Oklahoma or eligibility for certification in Oklahoma
Experience required: Minimum of 1-2 years experience inpatient rehab or acute experience preferred. Recent graduates who have applied for the licensure examination may be considered for provisional appointment.
Special qualifications: Good written and verbal communication skills.
