Havenwyck Hospital is a 251-bed, Joint Commission accredited and licensed psychiatric and substance abuse facility overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing behavioral health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents, and adults.  Havenwyck Hospital has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Residential Care Specialist (RCS) to join our team of compassionate and dedicated professionals.   


The RCS performs routine residential care duties and selected non-professional services.  Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provides care to children/adolescents in a manner that considers safety, residents’ rights and comfort.
  • Assists with resident admissions, discharges and transfers.
  • Continuously observes resident behavior, mental status and activities and reports this information to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living and encourages independent behavior.
  • Participate in the implementation of the resident’s individualized plan of care.
  • Treats all residents and staff members with dignity and respect.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of college in the areas of psychology, social work, mental health, or related health fields preferred.
  • One year experience in the mental health field or other related health care experience  preferred.
  • Provision of satisfactory motor vehicle operation report.
