Position Summary:

First Home Care has been providing quality care since 1991. We provide community-based services for children with a history of out-of-home behavioral health treatment. The First Home Care team has developed an integrated continuum of care which includes Therapeutic Foster Care, School-Based Programming, Alternative Day School and Outpatient Counseling. First Home Care has facilities located in Portsmouth, VA, Richmond, VA, Alexandria, VA, Painter, VA, Roanoke, VA, Washington, DC, Clinton, MD and Baltimore, MD.

First Home Care currently has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Enrollment and Intake Coordinator to work with our Mental Health Program in Washington, DC.

The Intake and Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for initial contact and interview with and risk and resiliency assessment of MRO consumers. This position interacts daily with the DMH Access Helpline, the consumer requesting services and the case management staff that refers the client. This position coordinates enrollment in the Department of Mental Health MHRS system. This position is responsible for the integrity of the enrollment data both within the DMH system and the internal office database to ensure a timely and accurate flow through the billing process. All aspects of enrolling and monitoring enrollment eligibility are the responsibility of this position.


High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with problem solving, written, and oral communication, familiarity with D.C. public health agencies; familiarity with Medicaid and third party insurance as it pertains to billing and claims processing.
• Electronic billing experience preferred.
• Behavioral health cares a plus.
• Must possess knowledge of medical terminology, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
