Arrowhead Behavioral Health, is a 48-bed private, free-standing psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, OH. Arrowhead offers a private, confidential and non-institutional environment conducive to healing and recovery. Arrowhead provides a variety of specialized services for adults and seniors 18 and older. Services include:

• Inpatient Acute Psychiatric Services
• Inpatient Substance Abuse and Detoxification Treatment
• Inpatient Dual Diagnosis (Co-occurrence of mental illness with substance abuse)
• Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatry
• Suboxone Induction and Maintenance (for Opiate Dependence) 
• Outpatient Treatment
    o Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
    o Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
    o Relapse Prevention (Aftercare)
• 28-Day Dual-Diagnosis Rehabilitation Programs
    o TRICARE Military Program
    o Impaired Practitioners Program

Arrowhead Behavioral Health currently has a Business Office Director position available. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

Supports the delivery of quality services and the financial goals and objectives of the organization through effective day to day management of financial data, admissions and data processing procedures and collections.

Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as billing and collection processes, management, filing systems, and other clerical and financial services.

Manages the direct activities of the business office staff, including billing, collection, financial counseling and data processing.

Implements policies and procedures toward productive functioning of the department.

Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.

Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.

Ensures accurate capturing and posting of financial activity and maintains accounts receivable at amounts appropriate for the marker, payer, and acuity mix.

Establishes uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.

Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

Plans office layout, follows office budget, and initiates cost reduction programs.

Prepares various reports for month end and year end.

Coordinates activities of receptionists.

Schedule receptionists and business office staff following facility procedures.

Other duties may be assigned.


Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University preferred; or an Associate’s degree with related experience and/or training will be considered.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Direct Medical billing experience including working with insurance providers, collection, contractual adjustments and charity/bad debt adjustments.

Candidate must have strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, ability to relate and interact professionally with a variety of individuals.
